We pray the Lord is blessing you this weekend! This is a Supplemental Episode made for the Gary Church congregation as they take Holy Communion in their vehicles from the parking lot. Because of COVID-19 in Wheaton, IL (and the rest of the greater Chicagoland area) we are unable to meet in groups of larger than 10 indoors. This means Gary Church hasn’t had Communion since the 2 weeks before Easter. Thus, we are trying this as a way to gather and receive the sacrament of The Lord’s Supper while “Doing No Harm.” Since all families are in our individual vehicles, we made this podcast so folks can still hear the words and prayers of Holy Communion as they are being said, simultaneously, by Rev. Dr. Chris Pierson and Pastor Brian at the front of the parking lot. If you are not a part of Gary Church you are welcome to listen to these prayers as they are scriptural, beautiful, and comforting. However, as you know, it does not make any bread or juice/wine around you at the time you listen to this the sacrament . . . that’s not how it works! :) Yet, we would love to partake in this Holy Meal with you if you are ever in Wheaton, IL on a Sunday!
